Self Evaluation 

POSITIVE: In my essay I included a range of theories on accent and dialect which related to the points I was making. Also, I included lots of examples in regards to language levels when writing about a specific accent or dialect. I wrote enough about my own research and ensured I backed everything I wrote with my own evidence or a support from a different theory. 

TARGET: Through looking at the feedback from my practice essay, the key feature I was missing throughout the essay was the comparison of the theories. Although I added in various different theories related to accent and dialect, I was missing a comparison which should have been done in each paragraph. Adding to this, I need to include my own opinion in my writing such as ensuring my attitudes are made clear throughout my writing in each paragraph. When writing about theories, I need to try and avoid describing theories and evaluate them in relation to the question.
